Golf Resort Pfaffenteich 2004
Entwurf für die Stadt Schwerin. Der Pfaffenteich in Schwerin wird zum Golf Resort. Seichte grüne Erhebungen, Sandkuhlen und Löcher mit Markierungsfähnchen werden als Fragmente einer Golfanlage auf dem Wasser platziert. Eine Tafel mit Lageplan gibt Auskünfte über das Golf Ressort Pfaffenteich. Die schwimmenden Elemente bestehen aus offensichtlich "falschem" Material wie z.B. Kunstrasen. Die imaginäre Nutzung der gesamten Sees als Grünanlage bietet eine andere Wahrnehmung über die Nutzung dieser innerstädtischen Fläche und stellt Fragen über Sinn und Grenzen der Freizeitgestaltung. |

Proposal for the city Schwerin, Germany. Soft, green elevations, sand-pits and holes with course markers have been placed on the Water, resembling floating fragments of a golf course. On the Steps is a sign is installed providing Information about the golf resort of Pfaffenteich, A fairway plan and number of holes are on view. However the floating golf course elements comprise of deliberately artificial materials, such as Astroturf. You are lead to believe that the entire pond is a green park. One might perceive the original landscape has been earmarked for redevelopment and in turn we may contemplate the nature of boundaries and the liberties we take with our landscape in the pursuit of recreation. |
